A Collaborative Journey:

I see counselling as a deeply personal and collaborative journey — an opportunity to pause, reflect and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the life you are living.

At the heart of our work is the relationship we create together. I believe that meaningful therapeutic work grows from trust, openness and a genuine sense of partnership. You bring your experience, your questions and your willingness to explore; I bring my experience, attention and curiosity. Together, we create a space where you can feel heard, understood and free to explore what may otherwise remain difficult to put into words.

I believe that change can sometimes happen in a single hour. A conversation can bring a new perspective, illuminate something previously unseen, open a possibility or create a moment of clarity. Sometimes it is simply the experience of being deeply heard and understood that allows something within us to begin to shift.

We will meet at the same time each week, for an hour at a time. As our relationship develops, we will establish a shared understanding of what you would like to explore and what you hope to gain from our work together. This provides a framework, while allowing space for the work to evolve naturally according to what you bring and what emerges between us.

I will invite you to be as open and honest as you feel able to be, always respecting your own pace. Over time, we may begin to uncover some of the less conscious patterns, beliefs and ways of relating that have shaped your experience. Often, these patterns have developed for very good reasons and may once have served an important purpose. Bringing them into awareness can allow us to meet them with greater understanding and compassion, rather than judgement.

As we become more aware of these familiar patterns, new possibilities can emerge. You may begin to experience greater freedom in how you respond, a deeper acceptance of who you are, and a greater capacity for self-compassion, self-love and authentic connection with others.

My hope is that our work together will give you the space to come closer to yourself — to understand not only what you feel and why, but also what you need, what matters to you and how you would like to live.

There is always the possibility of going deeper. We can follow what feels meaningful, at a pace that feels right for you, and allow the work to unfold with curiosity, care and respect.
