Frequently Asked Questions
I believe all people regardless of culture, race or social class can benefit from therapy. I believe that therapy is a joint endeavor. Both therapist and client are equally responsible for positive outcomes.
What are my qualifications?
I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in Transactional Analysis. I trained in London for four years commuting back and forth while building my private practice. Transactional Analysis is a powerful methodology, but I also incorporate other therapeutic modalities; namely Imago Couples Therapy, Gestalt and Mindfulness. I have been in private practice since November 2017.
How much does therapy cost?
Finances shouldn’t be an obstacle to health and self care. I work with individuals and charge CHF70 for an hour session. I ask for a 48 hour cancellation policy. I offer reduced rates for students and low income clients depending on personal circumstances.
I work full-time. Can I get an evening appointment?
Yes, I am flexible around working hours to suit your professional needs.
How long will therapy take?
It is difficult to estimate the length of a therapy because each person’s situation is unique. However, this decision rests with the Client. Termination is always determined collaboratively and we will take a couple of sessions to discuss endings, honour the work done, and say goodbye.
Where will my sessions take place?
All therapy sessions will take place in my home, offering a safe and confidential space conducive for reflection. We can also work online if you do not live in the city or travel frequently. I’m conveniently located downtown with easy access by public transportation. Parking is available nearby at Parking Uni Dufour.
Who are my clients?
My clients are people who wish to work in English, come from various backgrounds, education and countries and tend to be between the ages of 18 to 55.
